Is Owning A Business Better Than A Job In The Long Run?
Yes, a big yes! Our society and our education system have always taught us how to get a job and work under a business owner. They have taught us how to get a degree and good marks and then end up as an employee and help them get richer and richer with us working day and night.
Yes, owning a business isn’t a piece of cake and that’s because we are never taught how to do that. It’s wonderful despite of all this, young adults are switching from job culture to having their own businesses. A successful business doesn’t ask for a fancy degree or huge amount of investment. Even businesses with initial small investments are blooming, thanks to the impact of social media.
Let’s see how business can be considered better than a job.
1. Be your own boss
How many times have you cursed your boss for making you do overtime and still not giving a raise? Probably more than you can count. Owning a business lets you be your own boss. No more doing what you don’t want to do. Doing smart work more than hard work.

2. No limit on money
This one can be so amazing some times and not so amazing other times. The amount of money you earn depends upon your business skills and hard work. With a job, you can only get a fixed amount of salary but with business, there’s no limit. And who doesn’t want limitless money!
3. No time restrictions
This is the best thing about owning a business rather than having a job. It gives us flexibility. You don’t need to work 9 to 5. You can have your own schedule. Work as you wish. You might have to work really hard in the few years of beginning but it’ll be worth it.
4. It makes you creative
Having a business makes your brain work continuously, day in and out. Obviously that doesn’t mean you have to loose your mind over it. But owning a business unleashes your creative side. You’re always thinking ways to grow your business which is actually a good exercise for your brain.
5. No need to retire
In every job, you have to retire at a time as specified by your employer which leaves you wondering about your source of income at that age. Infact expenses are more as you grow old because of the inevitable medical conditions. On the other hand, had you build a business in your adulthood, you wouldn’t have to worry about your future expenses. The longer you are in business, the better you get at it.
So we see, having your own business is better than a job. It’s difficult, really difficult. But in the end, it’s definitely worth it. Get enough experience, earn the money you need to invest through a job and start your business. Good luck 🙂
What kind of business do you own/want?
As a small business owner I would generally agree with this 🙂
I’m glad to know that?
